5 Things you should know before u get a Rottweiler

Rottweilers can be excellent companions for people and understand them and their special needs. Rotties have a lifespan of 8 to 10 years, a rottweiler can be a very important member of your family for a long time. Here are 5 things you should know and consider before u get a Rottweiler.

1.How to exercise your Rottweiler

Rottweilers are known for their unique energy, rotties need daily exercise and can be great workout buddies. If you don’t have a large yard where your dog can play and run, you should take your dog out for walking everyday.
2. How to prepare your yard
Before you adopt a Rottweiler, make sure that your dog can’t escape, because Rottweilers like to explore and roam.
3. Rotweiler and other pets
If you have pets such as cats, birds, rabbits and hamsters your home, Rottweiler should be exposed to them right from the start. Rottweilers can get along well with dogs of other breeds, but it varies by individual.
4.Rottweilers and Childrens
Rottweilers like children, especially if they're raised with them. When around children, especially young ones, they should be supervised because they are big and strong. Always teach children how to approach and touch dogs, and always supervise any interactions between dogs and young children to prevent any biting or ear or tail pulling on the part of either party.Teach your child not to approach dogs while he's sleeping or eating or to try to take the dog's food away.
5. Shedding
Rottweilers can shed alot because of their thick fur, especially at seasons and warm weather. Two times in one year they spend a week or more shedding very heavily. Plan on vacuuming your dog frequently, brushing at least daily and sharing your home with clumps of fur.

Rottweiler's Anatomy

Rottweiler's Anatomy
The Germans understood the Rottweilers distinction when they came together to codify the standard at Heidelburg, Germany in 1907.
They were deliberate when articulating and fixing the appearance of the Rottweiler, which is why the standard uses detailed language in its description of this essential aspect of breed type. The standard was modified since 1907, but the general appearance of the Rottweiler has not. Reading the current standard, one finds the word “powerful” written 6 times, “bone” mentioned 3 times and “muscle” mentioned 5 times. No other words have such repetition when describing the details.

3D Mapping Helps Rottweiler Live after Terrible Car Crash.

It's been a couple of months since this Rottweiler puppy named Ziiba was hit by a car.

The accident left the puppy with extensive injuries, leaving her face and jaw fractured in four different places.

Thanks to surgeons at the University of California and Davis’ Vet Hospital, and advances in a technology, what is known as 3D mapping, you wouldn’t even know that the dog had suffered the car crash.

Doctors say that if the accident would happen 10 years ago there would have been no choice except to put the dog down, but today thanks to advances in technology the dog is fine and can live a normal life./fox40/
