Rotties are my all time favorite. Pitts are great also, they just get a bad name because of asshole owners.

I now have a lovely Rottie, I am afraid of dogs and have been since a child aged 12 when I was bitten by a dog, but I decided that I could go for a Guide dog, but because of my mobility problems the guide dog would get enough "work" a day, we considered Puppy training but decided we couldn't deal with after 12 months handing it back, so we decided on a rescue dog with Dogs Trust, first one was a Rottie cross Collie but she had a big thing against men and finished up biting my step son, so she had to go back, and my wife wanted to leave but I said if we go then you won't get a dog, so they introduced us to Boris, a full Rottie, he had been there for 3 1/2 weeks, and they wanted a permanent home before he could have surgery for his hip and knees (damaged by birth) so we took him on and wow, I don't regret it one little bit, he is my dog, he has had all his surgeries now and he is a wonder dog, and me for some one who doesn't like dogs, absolutely adore him and would not trade him for anything. I now love Rotties.
